At present, the NMC uses the BPMS software — provided by the state government — for online submission and approval of the building plans. But the builders face some technical issues with the submission and approval of the plans. “On the contrary, the AutoDCR software is good and carries out the process of submission and approval of the building plans online. Hence, this will help the civic body to speed up the online process,” said an NMC official.

Of these, 1 lakh properties were found to have not been registered in IMC’s record, 39,267 properties have difference in their registered size or construction area that ranges from 2000 sq ft to 5000 sq ft, and 21,571 residential properties were found being used for commercial purposes, said officials.

The Gujarat high court admitted a petition filed by residents of Waterlily Co-op Housing Society in the Adani Shantigram township, demanding the shifting of an existing 75 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) of Gandhinagar, and objecting to the establishment of another 65 MLD STP on an adjacent plot. The residents complained that the existing STP does not have any discharge outlet and polluted water after treatment is discharged into open fields in violation of pollution control rules.
