Mangaluru: E-khata will now be made available within 10 days

Bangaluru City Corporation modified and make the new version of e-aasthi, with that citizens will get e-khata within seven to 10 days of submitting applications. Since e-aasthi was launched in the year 2020, the MCC has issued 23,000 e-khatas. However, it will take anything between 30 days to three months or even more to process the applications.

Government departments, educational institutions biggest property tax defaulters in Chandigarh

In CHANDIGARH the biggest property tax defaulters are Not residential or commercial but government departments, higher educational institutions and wings of the UT administration in the city. As many as 100 establishments owe Rs 84.55 crore to the municipal corporation (MC). Punjab and Haryana government buildings have to pay Rs 48.60 crore, institutional buildings Rs 26.65 crore and the engineering department of the UT administration Rs 9.29 crore.

House allotment system launched in Odisha

The state government’s Odisha Urban Housing Mission (OUHM) has developed a professionally managed web-based software solution and an android based mobile application ‘House Allotment System’. It works on the principle of a continuous process of registration of all those families, who want to avail dwelling units under the ‘Housing for All Policy’.

Kolhapur civic body collects Rs 37 crore property tax

The property tax concession scheme of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has proved to a success as around 68,000 people have availed of the benefit, civic body has managed to collect around Rs 37 crore towards property tax — highest ever in the first six months of a financial year. The city has around 1.51 registered properties with the KMC.

Find cost of 870 trees cut for MLAs housing project: Orissa HC

The Orissa high court has directed the state government to constitute an expert body to calculate the cost of 870 trees felled to build multi-storeyed residential quarters for legislators in Bhubaneswar. The order came on a PIL filed by Cuttack-based social activist Jayanti Das against the cutting of trees for the Rs 549. 41-crore MLA Colony project in the capital.

Delhi: Company director arrested for duping over 150 people of Rs 30 crore

A 41-year-old director of a real estate company was arrested for allegedly duping more than 150 people to the tune of Rs 30 crore by inducing them to invest in his commercial project. ​Accused Deep Kanwar Singh Walia, resident of Chandigarh, was nabbed by the Economic Offences Wing in connection with a 2018 case of cheating registered against him.

RLDA invites bids for leasing out 29,065 sq meter land parcel in Sirsa

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for leasing out a 29,065 sqm land parcel at Sirsa, Haryana, in the Bikaner division of railways for residential development (67% residential and 33% commercial). The proposed land parcel is located near the railway colony and will be leased out for 99 years. The reserve price of the land is approximately Rs 28.47 crore.

StayVista raises Rs 40 crore in funding led by DSG Consumer Partners

Luxury villa rental startup StayVista has raised Rs 40 crore led by DSG Consumer Partners with participation from Capri Global and CA Holdings. Cofounder Amit Damani told that the startup was valued at Rs 220 crore after the funding round. The startup partners with luxury villa owners and provides them with manpower, operational expertise and marketing through its app and website.

Nagpur civic body to auction 6,925 open plots to recover Rs 37.4 crore tax dues

The property tax department is all set to auction 6,925 open plots in Jaitala and Chinchbhavan under Laxmi Nagar zone for defaulting on property tax to the tune of Rs 37,40,95,526. Deputy municipal commissioner (revenue) Milind Meshram said around 75,596 plot owners across the city have been defaulting on property tax for years. The outstanding arrears from these open plot owners is around Rs 284 crore.
